There are many different types of sharks in the Amazon River, but bull sharks are not one of them. Bull sharks are found in warm, coastal waters around the world, but they cannot live in freshwater. So, if you’re swimming in the Amazon River, you don’t have to worry about being attacked by a bull shark!<\/p>\n

Bull sharks are one of the most dangerous kinds of sharks because they are found in coastal waters all over the world. In the United States, they are found off the East Coast and in the Gulf of Mexico. Unlike most sharks, bull sharks can survive in freshwater for long periods of time. They have even been found in the Mississippi and Amazon Rivers.<\/p>\n

While people do swim in the Amazon River, it is dangerous to do so because of the numerous parasites in the river, as well as dangerous wildlife such as piranhas. In 2007, swimmer Martin Strel became the first known person to swim the entire length of the Amazon River.<\/p>\n
