Martin Strel is an amazing person! Not only did he swim the entire Amazon River, but he did so while battling parasites, piranhas and man-hungry Amazonian women. His feat is truly remarkable and inspiring.<\/p>\n

Martin Strel is the founder of our company and the first person to swim the entire length of the Mississippi River. Strel swam for 68 days straight from July 4th to September 9th, 2002, starting in northern Minnesota and finishing in the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana.
