The Amazon River is one of the busiest waterways in the world, and it can be quite loud. The river is full of boats of all sizes, and the sound of their engines can be quite overwhelming.<\/p>\n

What does it sound like in the Amazon? <\/h2>\n

The rainforest is teeming with animals and insects, so you would hear a concert of humming, thrumming, buzzing and chirping. Frogs, cicadas, howler monkeys, and birds make some of the loudest rainforest sounds. Some of these have cries that reach up to 130 decibels, which is louder than a military jet!<\/p>\n
