The park is home to nearly 20 species of rare and endangered plants and animals, including flatwood salamanders, frogs, wet prairie sparrows, loggerhead shrikes, red-shouldered hawks, Cooper’s hawks, great blue herons, cottonmouths, Eastern diamond back rattlesnakes and gray foxes.
